Second Chance Beginnings is announcing a new tiny home park in Trona, California. There are 135 spaces. Trona is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California. In 2015 it had a population of approximately 1,900.[1] Trona is at the western edge of Searles Lake, a dry lake bed in Searles Valley, southwest of Death Valley. The town takes its name from the mineral trona, abundant in the lakebed. It is about 170 miles (274 km) northeast of Los Angeles, on State Route 178.

Trona was built by the factory Mining for Minerals. The town went through a rough time when the plant laid off more than half their staff, once they upgraded to computers. They do still employ about 600 people and are hiring again. There is another plant being built in town to mine for Limestone. We have 3 restaurants and a few mini marts. Trona has Senior Center, Elks Lodge, Sherrif, Post office, Community Center, many churches, Elementary and High school and lots of beautiful areas to explore. Current Population about 1000 People
 
The next town over : 20 miles is Ridgecrest Ca. Population 35,000 and has all the stores and restaurants most towns have such as Walmart, Starbucks, Many fast food, Hospital and China Lake Military Base.
