Canadian Resources

Tiny Home Alliance Canada

The Tiny Home Alliance Canada  is a Canadian not-for-profit organization founded in 2014 and was Canada’s first online resource for accessing Tiny Home information. Our purpose is to provide an online and personal resource for Canadians who are curious about alternative housing, such as tiny homes, micro homes, earth-ships, yurts and more.

Initially, the hope and vision were for others to gather together and form a Canadian Alliance so that effective change could take place. Since its inception, more people have become interested in networking, organizing and activism regarding tiny houses; the organization

has grown from two members to an established board of directors, with over a dozen volunteers and allies who are all fervently networking with other organizations and individuals for the same goals in mind.

Tiny House Builders

Fritz Tiny Homes

Heather and Kevin Fritz are the founders of Fritz Tiny Homes. They build high end tiny homes on wheels that reflect the needs, values and passions of each client.

Their tiny home journey started in an up-cycled Edmonton city bus before moving into a garden suite loft. They now build tiny homes in the Albertan countryside and keep a mean hobby farm with their 4 children.

Kevin is a highly-skilled craftsman with years of design and building experience in the high end custom home world. Heather currently serves on the board of the Tiny Home Alliance Canada as Vice President. Together, they create intentional tiny homes for purposeful living.

They are passionate about intentional living and that is why they  build homes completely suited to the client’s lifestyle. No two lifestyles are the same so neither should tiny homes be. Each project is designed and tailored to the needs, values and wants of the clients.  Efficiency, sustainability, and purpose drive Fritz Tiny Homes  forward. Designing with a keen eye for style and with craftsmanship and innovation is foundational to their mission.

From the prospective as a builder and the Vice President Of Tiny Home Alliance Canada, Heather wants to help address the needs of their clients “where can I legally park my tiny?”with the goal to advance the industry as a whole. Pressing for legalization of tiny homes across Canada means more sustainable and affordable housing solutions for Canadians.  Fritz Tiny Homes is  thinking big about tiny living and are advocates for Canadian tiny homes.
